Our client in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking a temporary / contract Senior Help Desk Analyst to join their team.  In this role, the analyst will monitor and respond to inbound phone and support ticket escalation queues from internal users and field locations and will assist in troubleshooting and resolutions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of end-user hardware and software related infrastructure.  This includes components like desktop computers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, phones, mobile wireless devices, and printers on user's premises and over the phone. 
  • Ensures system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures to adhere to organizational guidelines. 
  • Provides updates, status and completion information via problem request tracking system and/or users via voicemail, e-mail, or in-person communication.
  • Assist in engineering project teams with the implementation and support of core infrastructure products and services which include testing and rolling out solutions.  

Requirements:

  • 2 + years of experience in desktop support capacity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge provisioning and supporting Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 environments.
  • Knowledge of Antivirus applications, preferably Sophos or Symantec Endpoint Protection.
  • System imaging products.
  • Experience with system remote management products.
  • Understanding of intermediate to advanced PC configurations, software systems and telecommunications technologies.  

Preferred Experience: 

  • Demonstrated knowledge in administering Microsoft Exchange / Windows Active Directory domain environments; administering user accounts, objects, groups, roles, and permissions, 2008 / 2008 R2 / 2012 R2

Education / Certifications: 

  • Associates degree or completion of technical training program; or four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates degree or equivalent from
    two-year College or technical school preferred.
  • Microsoft certification and/or Network+ / A+ certification preferred, but not required.
