Our enterprise client is seeking to hire a Project Coordinator who will be assisting the manager in organizing our ongoing projects. This task involves monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.  To be successful as a Project Coordinator, you will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.  Must have exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills and present project updates to senior leadership level. 

This position is in the Finance organization, on the Finance, Innovation & Transformation (“FIT”) team, focusing on multiple projects in the finance organization.  This team supports RPA for reporting and analytics.  This group also manages the Financial System Governance board.  The Project Coordinator will help manage the process of all projects that go for approval through the Systems Review Board and project information will be gathered and organized to be presented to the board.  Monies are allocated for projects that need to be presented/approved to the Board of Directors.  Once approved by the board, the PC will coordinate with technology team(s) to get estimated project costs and forecasted technology spend which is then reviewed by the board for prioritization/final approval.  The PC will manage this process end to end and all necessary reporting and documentation.   These projects are smaller, shorter projects but could have 25+ project in flight at any given time.  They will have small, short lifecycle projects they will be managing at any given time (some project may only be 2-3 weeks so they are very short term smaller projects. 

The Project Coordinator will follow up with the business users/stakeholders to understand the business requirements and determine upcoming projects.  Most of the projects are IT projects and they are using SharePoint, PC will be required to update the SharePoint site regularly.  This role will require heavy use of Power Point, to get documents prepared and ready for presentations.  The PC will often present project updates in meetings to senior leadership, therefore, executive presence is required.  They are moving to Smart Sheet so any experience with smart sheet is preferred (not required). 

Must possess strong organizational skills to manage each of these projects. Must be adept at handling bureaucracy, building relationships, pushing through challenges, assertive to stand up and push back when needed in a polite, positive manner.

Top Skills:

  1. Project Coordinator experience (minimum of 3 years of experience)
  2. Extensive experience with Power Point, creating presentations, presenting project status/updates to senior leadership (executive presence is required).
  3. Coordinating two archives, following up with business stakeholders, updating information on Sharepoint site

Desired skills:

  1. Experience with Smart Sheet (not required but more of a “nice to have”)
